If you are looking for a versatile charging station, the CTEK Chargestorm Connected 2 is an interesting option. The charging station has an internet connection, RFID card reader and a meter that has been approved by the Tax Authorities, so that the charging costs can be settled. The Chargestorm Connected 2 is designed as an 11kW (3x16A) or a 22kW (3x32A) charging station, so that you can always find a suitable model to charge your electric car.

Load balancing or determine the charging capacity yourself with the Chargestorm

With the CTEK Chargestorm Connected 2 you decide what you want. You can manually set the charging speed at the charging station from 6 to 32 amps. You can easily do this via the app, in which you can also adjust the charging speed if necessary.

With this charging station, you can also opt for load balancing. In that case, the charging station itself measures how much voltage is available and at what maximum charging speed it can be charged. When a lot of voltage is used in your home or business, the charging station reduces the voltage. If more power is available, the CTEK Chargestorm increases the charging speed again. For load balancing, you do need a smart meter. Don't have one? Then contact your grid operator.

Order Chargestorm with or without a fixed charging cable

You decide whether you order this charging station with a fixed cable or without. The charging cable is usually the weakest part of a charging station. It is also good to take into account that your next electric car may have a different connection, or may be able to charge on three phases. If the charging cable is damaged and this is a fixed part of the charging station, the entire installation usually has to be replaced. That is one of the reasons why we recommend that you order a Chargestorm without a fixed charging cable. This offers more comfort and keeps costs lower in the event of defects.

You decide who can charge with this charging station

With the Chargestorm Connected 2, it's really easy, because you decide who can charge and how. If you want everyone to be able to charge based on Plug & Charge, you simply open the charging station. If that's not the idea, you switch on the RFID card reader, so that charging can only be done with a trickle or a suitable card. The RFID tags ensure that you can always see who can use the charging station and you also have insight into the charging consumption per user, which can be useful for administration.

For this you need the RFID tags that are suitable for this charging station. If you lose one of the tags, it can simply be ordered separately for all CTEK charging stations. The lost tag can also be easily removed from the system, so that you can be sure that strangers cannot suddenly charge at your CTEK charging station.
